From Lost to Found

I was a young witch and somehow lost my wallet. I tore through every possible place, retraced my steps (literally) and still couldn't find it. After exhausting all the mundane methods, I turned to witchcraft.
I grabbed 6 candles, I think I only had some old shabbat candles that my mom gave me in case of a power outage; they were kinda misshaped from improper storage and were no longer pure white so she didn't want to use them for Friday Night Shabbat, but waste not. I arranged 5 of them into a circle with each one on a point to create a pentagram (5 pointed star ) and placed one in the middle. Then I wrote out and grabbed some pictures to represent my missing wallet, placed these in the middle along with the candle, and used the middle candle to light the rest of the candles in order, the whole time channeling my anxiety for my missing wallet into the spell. Once all were lit, I scooped the light to my eyes (as my mom had done so many times when lighting the Shabbat candles) and said:
Guiding light I ask your charity,
Lend me your focus and your clarity.
Lead me to what I need to find,
Restore that and my peace of mind.
Now while the actual ritual portion was mine, the words were not. I was still in the part of my path where I believed witchcraft was more like a recipe and was given those words by one of my mentors. It's something I try not to do to new witches now. I try to encourage making and using your own words over someone else's no matter how floral they might sound.
I blew the candles out and hoped.
It worked!! I was just packing up the candles (the next day) and my landlady knocks on my door saying there's a phone call for me (this is back when few people had cells and it was all land lines). Someone had found my wallet with all my cards! I was overjoyed!!
So now I pass the spell on to all of you, may it help you if you ever find yourself in a similar situation.
